Parker Ag has
provided biosolids management services since the summer of 1999 after
it became apparent the air-drying operation was producing too much odor
and that biosolids needed to be quickly removed on a routine basis. Parker
Ag has been using two roll-off containers for this project. The city
loads them and on a daily basis one is removed for land application and
returned to the wastewater treatment plant.

a liquid material to cake. Parker Ag started using a roll-off container
system that could be placed directly under the loading shut.

Paul Grundeman – (303) 791-7181
Based upon the performance of Parker Ag in helping the District land apply accumulated
biosolids from their construction program, Parker Ag was awarded a biosolids
land application contract to manage all daily production of biosolids. Parker
Ag provides roll-off containers to remove biosolids on a daily basis for land
application. Parker Ag was selected over other vendors to provide the services
based upon past performance and ability to meet the District’s demands.
Annual Estimated Quantity: 5,000 wet tons

Parker Ag, through a subcontract with SynaGro applies approximately 200 wet
tons of biosolids per day from NYC. The biosolids are railed to Prowers County,
Colorado, where it is transferred from the railroad to semi tipping trailers
for transport to the application site. At the application site the biosolids
are unloaded from the transport containers for application using Knight Side
Slingers at agronomic application rates. Parker Ag also provides lime stabilization
services for non-PSRP sludge. This project was awarded the 1999 USEPA Public
Education Award and an Environmental Achievement Award in 2001.
Annual Estimated Quantity: 65,000 wet tons

Parker Ag was the successful bidder on a 20 million gallon lagoon dredging and
land application project for the City of North Platte, NE in the fall of 1996.
Operations began in the late winter of 1997. Due to our ability to concentrate
a large application effort and our experience in making our operations efficient,
Parker Ag land applied as much as 300,000 gallons of biosolids per day. |

Widefield
Water and Sanitation District
Larry Bishop – (719) 391-7111
Parker Ag dredged and land applied approximately 10,000,000 gallons of biosolids
in the District’s polishing pond. Parker Ag permitted rangeland application
sites specifically for the project. Before contracting with Parker Ag, the
District had sought proposals from other regional contractors, who had claimed
that the Parker Ag approach was impossible. Instead, Parker Ag’s agricultural
knowledge lead to a highly successful project that saved the District time
and money.
